Kristen Nitz
Co-Founder
For Kristen, this work is deeply personal. As a mother of four, she has spent the past twenty years walking alongside three of her children through varying degrees of mental health crises and ongoing challenges. Through those experiences, she discovered how many families were struggling in silence—feeling unseen, judged, or unsure of how to help their children. Kristen wanted to change that. She helped create The Salus Collective to offer what she wished she had: a place where parents and caregivers can feel validated, empowered, equipped, and connected.
Professionally, Kristen has worked in healthcare for nearly 25 years, starting as a hands-on caregiver and growing into a leadership role focused on building strong, compassionate teams. She brings her heart for helping others, her deep understanding of healthcare systems, and her belief in community healing to every aspect of The Salus Collective.
At its heart, Kristen’s vision for The Salus Collective is that it is a place of hope—a reminder that together, we can navigate even the hardest moments and build a future where families and children thrive.
